TRSC International LASIK Center is a private-sector ophthalmic surgery center specializing in the surgical correction of vision problems (nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism), using a surgical method called LASIK, which is the safest, most advanced, and most accurate vision correction procedure available today.

TRSC was founded in 1997 by Ekktet Chansue, M.D., Medical Director, and Wanida Chansue, President, with a determination to raise the standard of refractive surgery in Thailand to international levels. TRSC selects only the best technology, and is continuously striving to maintain and improve the level of knowledge, expertise and experience of our personnel at all levels. We aim to deliver the best treatment combined with first-class personal care.

Dr. Ekktet Chansue was the first ophthalmologist to perform LASIK surgery in Thailand, and probably in Asia, in 1994.  In 1989, Dr. Chansue was the first ophthalmologist from Southeast Asia to be invited to join ORBIS International, and later served as a project director.  ORBIS is a non-profit organization headquartered in New York and consisting of 25 members, whose mission is to help combat world blindness.  Dr. Chansue’s special interest in cornea and refractive surgery led to a determination to give the miracle of clear vision to all afflicted by sight problems.

Wanida Chansue, M.Sc. (Hospitality Administration) was one of the first people in the world to have laser vision correction when she underwent PRK in the early 90's. She has retained 20/20 vision ever since. The miracles that she received, combined with her background as a certified nurse, were what drove Ms. Chansue to create Thailand's first-ever stand-alone surgery center devoted to the surgical correction of sight problems, with the determination to give patients not only the best available surgical and medical care in vision correction, but also first-rate service more commonly associated with five-star hotels and restaurants.

            TRSC was moved from the 8th floor of the Thaiwa building on Sathorn Rd. to the 6th floor of the U Chu Liang building on Rama IV. TRSC’s logo of the eye within a prism stands for our determination to be the leader in LASIK and to serve patients correctly and efficiently.

With our extensive and expansive vision and firm policy, we continue our endeavor to provide excellence in vision correction and maintain our status as the leader in LASIK through experience, technology, and first-class service. TRSC is the first LASIK Center in Asia to receive the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification, bringing great pride to our beloved country, and we have recently earned ISO 9001:2008 certification. We are determined to provide comprehensive, international-standard services, in order to assure our patients that they are receiving the highest standard of service at all times.
